Genesis 12, 3-8

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? With Isaac did he establish likewise [for Abraham his father's sake] the blessing of all men, and the covenant, And made it rest upon the head of Jacob. He acknowledged him in his blessing, and gave him an heritage, and divided his portions; among the twelve tribes did he part them. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
