Proverbios 24, 12-12

If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works? Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number. Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
